I love dessert. I love treating myself to a little treat every now and then. That’s why when I heard it was National Pie Day, I thought what a great time to enjoy pie. Marie Callender’s makes these absolutely adorable mini pies. I have always loved their large pies – oh the peanut butter cream pies are delish! I discovered the mini pies in the freezer section of my grocery store next to the pot pies (not with the larger pies). Each box comes with two pies and are perfectly proportioned (great to help support my New Year’s resolution).
My husband and I enjoyed the Chocolate Satin Mini Pies.
After dinner we were enjoying the tv together when I surprised him. Chocolate cream pies have always been his favorite pie.
(I gave him the one with the most chocolate curls on the top)
Look at all that chocolate delish-ness.
My only feedback to Marie Callender is to put more velvety, decadent chocolate filling in the pie. The crust overpowered some of my bites. Although I really did enjoy having the chocolate crumb crust instead of a graham cracker crumb.

I would try the Coconut Creme Pie
I have not tried any of Marie Callender pies yet but I would love to especially the Turtle pie.

For the savory, I love the MC pot pies. I have not tried any of the dessert pies, but would love to try the chocolate satin.
